Airport no longer working after latest updates

After my latest software updates, the Airport on my 13" Macbook is no longer working.
I can connect to networks and can get full signal from the wireless router in my home, yet none of my browsers can actually connect to the internet.
I've tried multiple wireless connections and none function properly. Suggestions?
I'm currently connected directly to my NETGEAR router via ethernet

I was on the internet, all of a sudden my screen froze.
My laptop was non responsive to the point I had to do a hard restart.
After that, my AirPort card disappeared, and my entire computer crashed to the point that I had to erase and install!
If not enough, dreamweaver opens and shuts down suddenly, and my image files have begun to disappear giving me error messages when I replace from removable HD.
What's going on?! This is the new mac!
The main troubleshooting page HAD a link about AirPort cards not being recognized after the updates, but it has been removed. Can't imagine having to locate a centre in the small town in Mexico i'm in to get this resolved.
Help??!

The same has happened to me - I think it might have to do with the Airport Utility Update. I can connect through internet, but when I log onto my local wireless router, I get full bars but no internet connection at all. It is not just my network either - I've logged onto neighbors and the exact same thing happens. The Network Diagnostics asks me to reset a the modem and router, but then tells me it cannot solve the problem. What is the cure?

I have exactly the same issue and I'm stuck with using an ethernet cable for my Macbook 13" (wireless N). I even tried to revert to old firmware on my Airport Extreme base station. Incidentally my old Macbook Pro with only wireless g seems to work OK.
Apple, what's going on?

My network prefs will not allow me to turn the airport on. Under my tool bar icon it says no airport installed.
Looking forward to the answer.

Hi
Did anybody try resetting the PRAM?
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I know bluetooth sometimes does the same and works fine after a PRAM reset

Reset the pram yes, no luck.
Started up from disc1 holding down D button,
Ran a check there and all is okay.
My iPhone is also connecting through the same wireless router with no problems.
If it wasn't for the iPhone I wouldn't be able to post here.

Also reset the System management controler.
Disconected the power, removed the battery, held down the power button 5 seconds, then connected everything back up again, still no luck.

Experiencing similar issue.
Wired works forever without any issue. Wireless (airport) works for a while (random 2-60 minutes, could be related to data volume) then gets stuck. At that point getting back to wire (without reseting the airport AP) solves it. Also, cycling the airport client (disable/enable) gets it to work for a few minutes... until it gets stuck again. Other devices (iPhone, iPod touch) connected to the same airport AP do get access while the macbook is stuck.
Thought this could be 11n related since the macbook is the only device running 11n. However, while wireless http/web access is stuck on the macbook one can still perform ftp connections (bit no file transfer as such), pings and/or access the time machine configuration (some of this seems to be randomly working) from that macbook. Not sure whether 11n handles short bursts and large bursts differently?
Finally, the behaviour is the same whether using Safari or Firefox and relaunching eitehr app does not solve it.
Clueless for now.

Okay...
this worked for me...
Go to the first Library on hard disk...
then go to Preferences...
then either pull out the SystemConfiguration folder to the desktop or delete it...
you will be asked for your pass word.
restart your mac...
THEN...
Open disk utility...
Mark the hard disk icon and Verify Disk Permissions...
Then when finished...
Repair Disk Permissions...
Done and all is working fine again for me...
For now.
Hope this helps and if it is a solution... mark the post as solved please.
if not ?

Well that didn't last long, the very next morning my airport fan became an empty outline.
Used my above strategy which did work before...
And no joy this time...
?
This is a weird problem.
Next step for me is to replace the system.
When I have time.
This much I do now know...
THIS IS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM.
