What Monitors WILL work with the Mac-Mini?

If the new Mac-Mini does not put out analog video and Apple does not state this, what monitors will work with it?

The new minis do put out analog - what they don't do is work with the DVI to analog TV adapter. However, either mini-Displayport or DVI to VGA adaptor will output a signal to just about any VGA display ever made.

I just bought from the Apple store the Mini-DVI to VGA adapter and it works with the new Mac Mini and an old cheap X2GEN 17 in monitor I got back in 2006 when I got my first Mac Mini. So it appears that anything that uses VGA should work with it. I'm getting a VGA to video converter box so I'll see how good or bad that works hopefully by mid week.

That question may be tuff! There are several ways to output via adapters and ports.
I got my 22" Viewsonic vx 2235 to work so far with mDVI-DVI & VGA. Did not work on MDP-DVI. Haven't tried MDP-VGA, yet to buy adapter. But it did drive my Samsung 2343BWX via the MDP-DVI along with an Acer 173 something, on the mDVI-VGA at the same time. I'm puzzled why the Viewsonic did not work MDP-DVI.

I just got my Mac Mini and used MDP>VGA to connect to a Philips 24" FLATTV HDTV. I got 1280x768 out of the box. Which is, I believe, all this TV will do. It still looks freakin awesome! I'll be trying it on my LG 42 later. Stay tuned!

check some threads on this as two of us with Samsung Syncmasters are having trouble getting any display signal from the new Mini. Apple needs to check this problem asap.
Have to take the thing into work on Monday to make sure its my monitor and then reset PRAM since my wireless keyboard can't sync with something I can't see

Yes, definitely, - T240 works fine with my new Mini 2009.

I have checked with Apple and Samsung. Both confirm older monitors, about 4+ years old might not work with the new Mac Mini. Samsung said my SyncMaster 910 MP was probably the reason and says the resolutions are incompatible most likely because of the age.
Apple confirmed that the new Mac Mini would not work with "every" monitor either.

Hi,
I just bought a new mini. I connect to to my Samsung 32 inches CRT HDTV (TX-P3275H) via DVI (with the mini-DVI to DVI adapter). I can get it to display at 1920 X 1080, but at that resolution it is almost impossible to read anything. Even if i'm right beside the TV. To have a decent font size, i have to put it to 1024 X 576.
Any idea what would be the cause or what I can do?

I was able to get an Apple Studio Display to work via the adapter in the Mac Mini box combined with that huge DVI to ADC adapter they had sold me years ago. In the Apple Store I really had to press them to assure me my display would work as they told me they'd charge me a re-stock fee if I had to bring the Mini back. I pressed the point that Apple should know if a monitor it made works with a computer it made. The rep asked around and we both searched the web and then she was able to confirm it would work. They really need a list of acceptable monitors. If anyone locates such a list, please let us all know!

Hello everyone,
I am going to get a new Mac soon. Thinking hard about maxed out mini.
But this MDP to VGA/minDV to VGA issues with older monitors has me worried.
Right now I have an iBook 14" G4 933mhz connected to a LaCie Electron Blue 19" (CRT) via a Mini-VGA (Composite and S-video adaptor) cable that came with the 'book - set to 1024 x 768 @ 75hz, 32-bit color, master mirror.
The question is: will either of the new cables work with the 2009 and this monitor?

If anyone can say for sure if the Samsung SyncMaster 971P works OK with the new Mini, I'd be happy to know! I don't intend getting a new display when this one works very well on the G4 mini...

24 " Phillips? is it the 23pf5320? If so, that's what I have. Getting the mdp > vga tomorrow. Philips pecs say native resolution is 1366 x 768 . I have been using this HDTV with my old mini for 1 1/2yrs but just had the trouble with my new week old mini using the mDVI > DVI into tv's DVI .
