Anyone else having Bluetooth keyboard problems with new mini?

I got the new mini, the base model and am having a problem, wondering if anyone else does too.
The mini is paired via Bluetooth to the aluminum Apple keyboard. Also connected is a Microsoft Explorer Mini mouse which also runs at 2.4 GHz (though it's not paired via Bluetooth). With my previous Mac mini, I never had a problem. With the new one, however, about half the time I do something somewhat CPU/GPU intensive such as turn on the screensaver or watch a high-def movie (either an Apple H.264 trailer or a downloaded video), the keyboard loses the connection with the Mac and an graphic appears on the screen saying connection lost. Sometimes the keyboard reconnects, and sometimes I have to press a key first for it to reconnect. It's rather annoying.
The keyboard has not given me a single problem with my old mini in the past year, so I know that's not what is broken.
So is anyone else having this problem?

I also am having this trouble with the base Mini just dropping my Logitech MX Bluetooth keyboard and mouse under CPU load.
Any thing we can try to fix this issue?

I'm having the same problem as you Phil. Seems to do it less if I put the keyboard closer to the mini when I am watching and not using the keyboard for input. Who knows at this point. If I find anything out I'll be sure to post it here.

I'm having issues here...
All was fine, but now I can't connect either a brand new Apple keyboard or my mouse. When going through the Bluetooth Setup Assistant the mouse and keyboard are visible and 'connected', but they just can't pair.
For the keyboard I get given the number to enter, but then the Mini doesn't receive it. On some occasions the Bluetooth Sys Pref pane says that they are connected and paired, but neither work.
There are no problems whatsoever using the same keyboard and mouse on my brand new iMac.
I am also noticing that the airport signal is fluctuating from full strength (which it always has been in the few days I've had it and was always the case with the Apple TV that was in exactly the same place).
Hmm, very odd. Will be phoning Apple tomorrow if this doesn't sort itself out.

To update...
I opened my mini to install 4GB RAM and a 320GB hard drive. I noted that all the antennas were plugged in tightly. After putting it back together, the BT keyboard problem did not appear again for the day in situations which would have easily triggered it before. Then the next day, the keyboard would not work at all despite OS X saying it was paired. A reboot fixed the problem. After that, I reset the PRAM, SMC, and PMC.
Now waiting to see if the problem re-appears.

OK I just picked up the base mini with 2 gb ram and the apple wireless keyboard an mouse. I also noticed the keyboard dropping connection but I thought it was a power saving feature to conserve battery life. Are you telling me that this is a problem?

Yes, it's a problem. There's no reason why the mini should lose the connection with the keyboard based on playing a video or starting the screensaver when the keyboard was used just 30 seconds prior (and thus not an energy saving feature).

In my case it appears to drop out about 15 min or so into the movie. Would that me normal?

I cannot even get through the start up after taking the blessed thing out of the box. It says it pairs and then when I have to enter any keystrokes for info migration or network password, nothing happens. Even the caps lock button won't light up.
The same wireless keyboard (the older white and clear apple keyboard) works just fine with my MacBook. The mini is a paper weight for me right now. Any help would be appreciated.

With my old mini, the same exact keyboard never dropped out. So I'd assume it's not normal with the new mini.

Hi I just bought the new base model mac mini about a week ago, and I am also having issues with the bluetooth. In my case its the Logitech bluetooth mouse. Every time i do a cold boot i get the dialog box that the mouse could not be found, and it goes into a search mode. I replaced the batteries but nothing. I have to move the mouse around a bit in order for the mini to connect. This is a brand new machine no upgrades nothing.

UPDATE :
So i booted the mac mini from external Leopard hard drive, but things did not change. Same dialog box searching for a bluetooth mouse came up. I can try booting from tiger but i doubt it would make any difference. This leads be to believe that the Mac mini is either not compatible with the Logitech v270 mouse or there is something wrong with the Mac hardware. My Powerbook G4 is working fine with the mouse so i doubt its the mouse.
I also tried to pair a bluetooth phone with the mini and that went fine. All files transfered from the phone to the mini without problems.
Before i return the Mini I will give the bluetooth mighty mouse a try and see if that works.

So i have decided to take the mac mini back for an exchange since its only 1 week old. This will be the first time i return an apple product. I hope they do not charge me a restocking fee for a replacement. I will report back with how it went.

Yep. Same problem here. My wireless mouse has given me fits on a couple of occasions, too. For some reason, each time I've plugged my Apple USB keyboard in, it causes the wireless keyboard and mouse to work.
All of the peripherals are Apple branded and have fresh batteries.
