Color fades when scrolling in Safari 4

Since upgrading yesterday from Safari 4 beta to Safari 4 proper (and from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7), a strange things happen: when I scroll up or down in Safari, the color fades. It returns if I stop and click outside the app (i.e. on the desktop background), then recurs if I again scroll in Safari. Didn't happen before the upgrade, and it's quite annoying. Any suggestions?

This too happens to me, but only when I lock my machine (fast user switching to login window), then log back in.
To fix I have to quit Safari 4 then relaunch it. Incredibly annoying.

Yes I too noticed this after locking my computer. It was strange that's for sure. I wish the tabs were back at the top of Safari too.

Same problem here, the minute I start to scroll down in a webpage the color starts changing/fading. Can I go back to Safari Beta. It is making the text unreadable.

I'm seeing the same thing. This is a really huge usability bug. As someone else said, it makes some text nearly unreadable. Can't believe this got past the beta testers.

I have never seen that in any version of Safari, nor seen it reported here before, so have no idea what might be causing it.
Send a bug report to Apple using the Bug Report button.

This was applied in the final version only. Have been using the beta without problem for several months, pity they changed it really.

Yep, Restoring Permissions (see Disk Utility) also fixed this one for me.

Same problem here. The red and blue colors become increasingly saturated until they are bright red and bright cyan.
Will try the permissions solution...

Well, that seemed to work It's actually Repair Permissions.
And I didn't even have to restart Safari.

What are the exact steps you took to fix the problem? I've run Repair Permissions twice now, restarted Safari, and still having the issue:

The above example occurs when I scroll down any page. The content of the page becomes very, very dark and completely unreadable.
