My son has a nano 3rd generation 4GB.Someone messed with it and set a combination for the volume limit. We don't know it. Is there any way to find the combination to unlock the volume limit? We have already reset the Ipod, so that didn't have anything to do with it. Thanks for any help.

Hello there,
And welcome to Apple Discussions!
In order to unlock the volume limit at this point you will have to restore the iPod via iTunes. Because you do not the combination, there is no way to unlock unless you restore the iPod.
Keep in mind that restoring the iPod deletes all the music and files from the iPod, so make sure they are backed up somewhere or still available on the computer you have the iPod set to sync with
Restoring iPod to factory settings
Hope this helps.
