Networked 4/600 Laserwriter - doesn't list on all cp's

Hello,

I have a soho network - 3 of the macs having 10.5.8 and 2 of those connected to the network hardwired, 1 wirelessly.

The Laserwriter will add to 2 of the computers but not the third. Memory tells me I should be selecting AppleTalk but cannot get anything to list.

Any thoughts or help please.

On the computer I cannot get the LW to connect - I select Print/Fax prefs and click to add a printer. Under the AppleTalk button nothing lists, if I select IP I can manually enter a name for the computer and pick the driver from the drop down and also name the zone Local Zone, but when I select that printer to print, the printer constantly reverts to 'Paused' and will not print.

I have had this 'set up' for so long and have had very few (if any) issues with printing - it's only since adding 10.5.8 to the MDD that connecting a printer has balked. I guess it's part of the problem - that I don't have to do this often enough to recall the ins and outs.

Maybe I should add that this is an ethernet network. I don't know what other info is relevant - any help please.

That printer can Only do appletalk; adding it via IP printing can't work.
