Battery life after MLB replacement = great

My battery life has cruised up close to 4 hours after having my logic board replaced (to address the cpu whine issue). The display inverter was also replaced, even though it wasn't buzzing. Previously, I was only getting about 3:15 on a full charge.
Just thought I would pass this bit of observation on.

Same story here, they replaced my inverter too for no apparent reason.. I noticed an increase in battery life afterwards as well. No noise and better battery life, I'm very satisfied now.

Did you guys send out or bring into the store?
About how long were your repair times?
I'm interested in finally getting my screen inverter whine repaired, and I think I too will be eligible for that logic board replacement - so wanted to know on average how long you guys were without it for.
Thanks

my MBP went in for whine and optical drive, and the repair is on hold waiting for a part.

since we have no Apple Store here in Austria, Europe - i was at a local super-tiny Apple Service Partner www.toolsatwork.com
they pre-ordered the LogicBoard 2 days ago - today they called me that they are ready to change - so i went in and got it 3 hours later ...
i'm VERY HAPPY with that personal service

I also bought a MBP in Austria, M-Store to be more specific. I had my logicboard changed last week and orderd a new battery this week. As I'm not from Austria, (M-Store is the nearest Apple store around here) I had to leave my battery there in advance. I figured I could as well not pick up the MBP till the battery arrives. I can hardly resist the temptation not to go and pick up the MBP just to see if it still has processor noise/whine. I also hope they applied the thermal grease properly this time.

Funny thing, I sent it in one time, and it got the inverter replaced, then i sent it in again for the logic board replacement, and the new logic board came with a faulty inverter. I don't have the CPU whine, but I have that **** inverter noise now.
I just got my battery today and can't comment on battery life just yet.

Hmmmm... 4 hours? Cool!
Just got my new battery yesterday, calibrated, and getting 3.15 (min. brightness, no bluetooth or airport). BUT... due to go in for inverter whine, so hopefully that will get me up 2 four hours!
This is the third time Ive had to sent it in. (First, so a total sudden death, second for screen death). Using my MBP for work, the downtime when in repair is a real serious inconvenience. (As it is for all of us I'm sure). I enquired about getting a replacement... but Apple were quite firm that they couldn't do anything until after a machine had been in for a major repair three times, and even then it was a long process. I just want a machine I'm confident with.
Should I resign myself to this, or how should I play it with Apple to get a replacement? Any ideas appreciated.
All the best,
S.

Well, I got 4h of battery life yesterday, before calibrating the thing.... with airport on and medium screen brightness. I do think that there may be something wrong with the machine you have. Since it's your third time you sent it in, demand a refund/replacement.
I hope you get the machine that you paid for very soon.

I've noticed people are complaining quite frequently of heat issues on the MacBook Pro? I mean they're not that old yet and you've already had to get the Logic Board replaced? That scares me. I just got mine a month ago. What are some symptoms? I know when I play games the area below my Left palm when I use the keyboard gets hot (I'm guessing that's where the graphics are). And whenever the screen is on that little strip of metal between the very top of the keyboard and screen hinge gets very hot, like I may be able to cook something on it, no just kidding, but you get the idea.
