iTunes 7 seems buggy!

I have been playing with the new iTunes (after repairing preferences and rebooting), and it seems to crash at will. It usually crashes when playing music then looking at, or clicking on something else.
Is it just me, or does this release seem a little premature? I love the new interface, but I'd rather it be stable.

For me, the Kernel crashes were getting out of control. I decided to erase my HD and start from scratch. It was getting to the point where my computer was unusable. I plan on not upgrading to iTunes 7 until this is fixed or that Apple recognizes it is a huge issue.

I agree...I'm suffering miserably right now since downloading iTunes 7 and updating my 5th Gen 60GB iPod. My iPod won't even work right now! I'm going to have to reinstall an earlier version of iTunes and my iPod software tomorrow.
Anyone who has not yet downloaded iTunes 7, I STRONGLY advise you to wait until the bugs are worked out. PLEASE!

I don't get Kernel crashes, only the polite box that says an application quit unexpectedly. I've submitted about 100 reports to Apple. Think that will do any good?

I'm hoping for an update within at least a week. Is that too much to ask? Everytime there's something that goes wrong, I report it. Even if I have submitted it time and time again.

Me too bud, so at least someone at Apple is going to have a &%$^load of reports to go through...
I can easily cause the program to crash just by skipping songs in a playlist. If I just let it play, it seems to run. As soon as I click on anything else, or God forbid, sort through the CD covers, whamo, I'm sending a report.

I am having similar issues but maybe not as severe. When I click from the iPod status screen to the iPod music screen iTunes crashes right away. All the other funtions seem to be fine.

iTunes 7 is unusably buggy for me. The interface gets completely and irrevocably screwed up if I try to change the view to Cover Browser, and clicking on my iPod shuffle does not change the list at all (i.e., doesn't show what's on the shuffle).
iTunes 7 is also very slow to start up and quit. Every time it launches it gives a progress bar ("Loading iTunes Library") and when it quits it has another one ("Saving the iTunes Library"), which were never necessary with v.6. A step backward in terms of usability.
The feature to find cover art found about 20-25% of missing cover art; nothing to brag about.
I haven't explored the program in greater depth, having found it so bad from the get-go.
I would try reinstalling iTunes 6, but when I downloaded and saved the iTunes 7 package, it *overwrote* the iTunes 6 package! An astonishingly inept program design by Apple. I expect (and get) that behavior from Windows, but don't expect Mac OS to do that. iTunes 7 was clearly rushed out the door before it was ready, and I expect the 7.0.1 update to show up very soon. In the meantime, I hope I can find a backup copy of the v.6 installer (and that it'll install after deleting v. 7).
I have been playing with the new iTunes (after
repairing preferences and rebooting), and it seems to
crash at will. It usually crashes when playing music
then looking at, or clicking on something else.
Is it just me, or does this release seem a little
premature? I love the new interface, but I'd rather
it be stable.

Ok, in another thread, someone suggested turning off "Sound Enhancer" in iTunes Preferences, and that seems to have fixed my constantly crashing install. Give it a try!

I've had no problems at all on my Mac or PC (about 20,000 songs combined) - guess I'm lucky.
Its a dot-zero release, gotta expect a few bumps in the road! I'm sure there's a lot of engineers working around the clock to release 7.0.1

This is the worst software upgrade I've ever downloaded from Apple! The program crashes every time I attempt the following:
1. Adding any songs in any way to the iTunes library.
2. Playing any song for more than about 12 seconds.
3. Skipping ahead in any song.
4. Editing track information.
5. Adding album art manually or via the Find Album Art link.
Please please please have a new version ready soon, Apple! And if you haven't yet downloaded iTunes 7, wait for the next release!

Well...it does my nerves good to know I'm not the only one having serious issues with the itunes upgrade. Constant unexpectedly quitting on me for no reason. Looks real nice, but I can't play two songs in a row without needing to send a report to apple. Ugh!!!!
