DHCP receives info; does not apply it to the interface.

Hi, I recently bought a new wireless router.
The Mac initially worked well with it. Now, it will not receive addresses using DHCP. I have tried wired and wireless connections. I have tried using a different device (cable modem - which is also does not obtain an address for).
This stopped suddenly one day. The computer is set to use DHCP on the relevant network connections. I can tell (from the router logs) that it is sending DHCP requests, and it appears the router is sending the info back (it allocates IPs to the MAC addresses). However, the computer appears to not apply this to the interface.
When I manually enter IPs, it works fine. However, I don't want to have to do that each time. The dynamic IPs should work just fine.

I just got back from vacation where both my iMacs were sitting idle and the exact same thing is happening. Both my PC and Palm YT|X have no problem. What's up?

Might want to make sure that you have a Location setup for both Wired & Wireless, that isn't the Automatic one.
If that doesn't work, I suspect File or Permission problems.
I'd trash...
/Library/Preferences/com.apple.sharing.firewall.plist
/Users/nnnnLibrary/Preferences/com.apple.internetconnect.plist
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/preferences.plist
/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
And set everything up again after a reboot.
