My MBP has been acting odd since installing N wireless update.

Since installing the N wireless protocol on my MBP my machine has been acting weird. It fails to see wireless networks, the system preferences fails to open at times. OSX freezes, Force quit doesn't actually quit the programs after they have frozen. Basically its so bad i am thinking about re-formatting my machine and starting again, (its only a week old)
Am I the only one who has this?

Your not the only one...I just created a post: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=838810&tstart=0
Sorry, I didn't see yours before I posted. I am having the exact same problem and it has gotten so bad that I can't use my MBP if my airport is turned on. Doesn't even matter what kind of router I use (including the Airport Express).

I am currently on the phone to Apple Support about this issue. As my wireless is now completely useless. The 1st line of support couldn't help so i am currently on hold waiting for the level 2 tier support.
How new is your MBP? Maybe this problem only effects new models? (mine is 9 days old.)

Well i just spent 79 minutes on the phone to Apple.
In a nutshell they don't have a solution because the problem has just been raised.
We tried something (deleting a system preferences folder) it stopped the MBP from crashing within the usual 3 minute area. However after half an hour it crashed again.
So they will get back to me.
(No real definition of new, just thought...)

Well..that is a bummer....
I did notice something else, don't know if it makes sense or not, but if the mac crashes while connected to my Airport Express at home, the Airport Express stops responding and all of the clients that are connected to it stop getting access to the Internet until I unplug it and plug it back in.
When the issue first arose, I thought it was a problem with the AP express, but since it happens even more frequently when using other routers, I know that is not the issue. Besides, everything was fine until I installed the Wireless-N update. I wonder if there is any way to remove the update?
I'll keep playing with it, but hopefully they find a solution soon. Being that our problem is exactly the same, I would be surprised if no one else is having this issue as well.

I just rang the 0800 free Apple Shopping number. I asked for my £1.25 back which was the cost of this wonderful update. Told them that i would need the money to go towards my BT phone bill as i spent 79 mins calling their 0845 support line.
Got it back fine !
Left my computer running over last night connected to the wireless. Woke up this morning and turned on the screen, it had frozen at 2:09am. (Thats two and a half hours after i turned it on and connected via wireless.)
Cheers again Apple.
