Printer List showing printers that don't exist anymore

Hi,
On managed clients we are pushing out two printers and have removed a bunch of test printers.
Thing is, one the client they still see the old printers if you choose Print | Printer and then choose the 'expand' list option.
We've tried deleting the Library | Preferences printer files, but the list still shows up on the client.
thanks, jhb

Have a look at the etc/cups/printers.conf file. You will have to take ownership to read it. This is the list of printers configured on the server. If there are still references to the test printers, then that would explain why they are able to discover the printers.

PowerBook G4, PowerMac G4, PowerMac G5, Xserve G5 and heaps of Canon printers

Thanks, but that doesn't seem to be it. The list in printers.conf is the correct list of printers.
It seems the client(s) cache previously used printers somewhere.
