Direct TV App

I tried to download this app from the AppStore on my iPhone, its saying its not compatible with this iPhone...is this app only for 3G models? i have the original iPhone and it didnt mention anything in the description...i still have v2.1, perhaps its that?

Sony VIAO, Windows XP, 1st Generation 8GB iPhone

That application requires version 2.2.1 of the iPhone software. It's mentioned in the requirements for the app.

According to what it says in the iTunes Store, it requires 2.2.1.
