Number of rings before voicemail

There is nothing on the iPhone to set that, however AT&T has the ability to set it. I believe the norm is based on time though, not the number of rings. It seems to me my phone rings 4 or 5 times. Check their website and see if there is any information in their FAQ's. I haven't looked in some time, but I remember a discussion on this in the past.

If you are not with AT&T, then I would say to check with your carrier.

The easy way is to call AT&T (611 on your phone) and ask them to change the number of rings.

The hard way is to enter a long string of meaningless numbers and do it yourself. I don't remember the long string of numbers, but I'm sure Google can help you find it.

AT&T at 611 can do it for you, but they don't understand number of rings. They use a time. The standard is 20 seconds, but I had them set mine to the max of 30 seconds.

Hey, expresso. That's great if you want to bring up the iPhone's Field Test tool, which will give you information about towers and signal strength, EDGE network, and more. But, it has nothing to do with the time before going to voice mail.

No it didn't. You're confusing Field test Mode with something else. FTM only displays info, there's nothing to change. As was previously stated, they have nothing to do with each other.

Then you should be able to go back into FTM and change it back to 20 secs. Can you do this?
