If you are a Metro PCS customer, you aren't a current AT&T customer. Therefore, you are new to AT&T and eligible for the full discounted price with a 2 year contract. You do have to meet AT&T's credit criteria.
The eligibility question only applies to existing AT&T customers with unfulfilled contracts. The only question you need to check is if you have any contractual obligations to Metro PCS when you switch to AT&T.
