I recently have been having issues with people hearing me when i call them or i receive their calls. My sound works perfectly through Facetime and thru mic apps. What gives? Do I need to return my iphone to have this fixed? Resetting has not fixed the problem. =(
Got my IPhone 4 on wednesday - everything is working including all speakers: Internet via 3G or WLAN, Music, Games, ... I also can call someone, BUT he can't hear me and also I can't hear him. I can also make outgoing calls - but the same problem. Same problem also when using the original handsfree set. Full reset, also in maintenance mode, did also not solve it. Tried also to change the SIM card - nothing...
I already called the support - they will pick up my IPhone 4 on monday!
But maybe somebody has an additional idea, before I have to give it away for a few days...
Dear all. Got my IPhone about 3 days ago and I am having the same problem. Which is people not being able to hear me when I make or receive calls. I get perfect sound from and can you the mic on different apps but alas nothing when making calls. I hope they get a fix for this very soon otherwise I will just go back to my windows mobile tlf and return my IPhone 4 back to my reseller.
Any one with any concrete ideas to what I can do, concerning my previous post about not being able to hear when I receive and make calls, are really welcome. Looking forward to hearing from someone. Regards
i got my iphone 4 last week and i dont even aware about mic problem until 2 days later i received phone call and i try to talk and people cant heard me and i have to talk via speaker phone.
from that i really stress and dont know how to figure it out because i bought it in singapore and i took to indonesia which is i used it now..
i dont know where have to return..
i just hoping this is IOS 4.0.2 issue...
hoping APPLE can solve this problem as soon as possible.
I get the same issue with the 4. Intermittent and I'm bearing it. The phone does some weird things I never experienced with my 3GS. Won't complete call. Serious drop issues (with a case). People can't hear me, etc.
All intermittent. Can't say it's ATT but they may play a role.
I figure that Apple will sort it out.
And hey, only 10 months to iPhone 5!
Ok after a week of not having the capability to use my IPhone4 to its full potential, I have decided to return it. So no more IPhone4 for me. sorry Apple its just not good enough.
Same here. Mic works without problems in Voice Memos but not in calls. Can't use a headset or speaker either. I am NOT pressing mute. Strange thing is I can hear my own voice coming out of the speaker when making calls but nobody at the other end can hear me. Making calls through skype is no problem.
Only had my iPhone 4 for just over a week. When I asked the guy from Apple's support if it was a known problem he said he'd had the exact same problem himself and had to get it repaired..
Well my Iphone 4 was delivered to me in London exactly a week later on 2nd September and has the same issue. I was heading back to India and had no chance to go back to Apple store thinking I may not have restored the software correctly. India apple store refuses to discuss. wonder what to do ?
I had that problem one week ago, i hear a sound when i make calls or during a entrance call, and the only solution was to return the iphone to carrier. I tryed restoring, upgrading, everything. The problem is Hardware related, at first worked fine, but after 4 days it got funky.
They sent a refurbish one, the solution was solved, but i got a worst one ( WIFI, GPS and bluetooth *****, weak signal on wifi, gps inaccurate).
So i do recommend to get to your carrier and get a replacement.
same issue with callers cant hear me. i have updated to the latest software and still the same. did everything possible and nothing works. Skype works fine and all other audio apps works just fine. sometime you shake the phone and the callers can start to hear you but only for 10 secs then all back to the same. no idea how to fix it!!! calling apple care to get it sorted out.
Sadly I am having the exact same issue as everyone else. I've had every iPhone but the GS since they came out and convinced everyone in my family to get the 3G. Now no one can hear me on calls and no one wants an iPhone 4 now. Will probably have to return it unless something changes drastically. HELLOOOOO OUT THERE APPLE!!!!! No, I'm not holding it wrong - No, it's not on mute - Yes, it's brand new and - Yes, it's not right.
