No arrows to return to previous page or go forward

Why is it impossible to go back a page when working on my Apple computer? There are no back or forward arrows. I have found this to be true regardless of the app I am in...while shopping as well.

Please help.

Right-click on the toolbar, and choose "Customize Toolbar..." Then drag "Back/Forward" to the toolbar, and click "Done."

Missing cursor in Pages when you don't have mouse It frequently happens that I am unable to go up to the previous page in Pages without a Mouse because the cursor is missing on the side.
