TV app plays episode recap, then won't play episode

Hi, I use the TV app on my MacBook Pro and iMac. Sometimes it works fine, but I often have a problem playing shows.

I'll hit the play button on a thumbnail, and it will open the play window and start the trailers, and then play the episode recap. All of that works fine.

When it gets to then end of the recap, the screen goes to black and nothing happens after that. It stays black even if I wait 20 minutes. The pause button is shown, indicating that it's still in "play" mode, so it should be playing. There are no error messages, buffering icons, etc.

If I click the "x" button to close the window, and then restart the above process from the beginning, it will sometimes work. Sometimes I have to try 3-5 times to get it working, and sometimes it won't work even if I quit the app and restart 10 times. Rebooting the computer doesn't help.

I already tried the steps from https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207060 and they didn't help.

Is there anything else I can try?

Does this occur with any content you play or specific content? Was anything updated or changed when this started occurring?
