Change Font in Keynote is Super Slow

This was asked before and 47 people had the same problem. The reply was useless and nobody marked it 'helpful'. Can somebody address this issue please? I just tried to change font in Keynote and the rainbow wheel slowed down almost to a stop.

This wastes huge amounts of my time. I'm getting so close to going back to PowerPoint.

How to keep the font size when resizing text boxes I work in advertising and it's important that every slide in the presentation looks good. With the most recent update, Keynote has started to automatically change the font size depending on the size of the text box and the amount of text in the box. It now works pretty much like Powerpoint. This is frustrating, because it makes achieving a 'uniform' look between the slides very difficult. One slide has the font size of 32, the next one 29, etc. Just adding a single character may result in an automatical change of font size. Remember when you saw that good-looking Powerpoint presentation? Me neither. So how do I turn this "feature" off? There used to be a setting for this in the text box's formatting panel's (Text -> Styles) but it's no longer there. Sad!

Fonts appear crammed together in Pages and Keynote Hi. I’m looking to find out what’s causing the text in Pages and Keynote to look like this, with some fonts (not all) being unreadable. The font list also shows boxed question marks, too. And FYI, I haven't formatted any of the fonts, so 'character spacing' is set at the default 0%. For some context, I have a subscription to Adobe CC and use the fonts from their service. But it’s not only their fonts that appear like this.

Piggybacking on this issue, this is ridiculous. I'm down to workarounds like copying text boxes from other slides which already have the right fonts and then rewriting inside them. (Also the mentioned question is up to 77 “me too”s now)
