Can I replace a defective Apple Charger without a receipt?

Can please tell that i bought an genuine apple charger last month from one of my friend but yesterday it stopped working. As i have no bill of it so can i replace it from the  authorised reseller or it’s life finished now? Thank you for your suggestions in advance.
