Dark mode glitch on Mac Studio with Sonoma 14.4

I'm using Mac Studio (with studio monitor) and running Sonoma 14.4.1

I selected Dark Mode in system preferences but only the menu bar turned dark.

Finder windows, Safari, etc remained unchanged (i.e light mode). It used to work, but recently stopped working.

There has been a recent infestation of these Forums by AI / ChatBots.

They may appear as well formulated with what appears as possible technical solutions.

Suggest being very careful about this.

Some suggestions can be very incorrect, misinformed  and even impossible to do.

Suggest asking the previous contributor why they would suggest that which does not apply to your computer

FYI the " Mac Studio " is an Apple Silicon Computer and Does Not Contain a SMC

Nor does resetting the NVRAM affect Apple Silicon Computers

Make sure that your Mac is plugged into power, then take one of these actions.

  • Restart: Choose Apple menu  > Restart.
  • Or shut down: Choose Apple menu  > Shut Down. Then press the power button on your Mac to turn it on again.

No other steps are necessary for Mac computers with Apple silicon.

The steps to reset NVRAM don't apply to Mac computers with Apple silicon, and aren't needed on those computers.
