Apps like instagram will always play sound when listening to music on Sonos

When I have started playing music from Spotify with my phone on Sonos and then go to an app like instagram, the audio will be turned on for stories and posts. Even if I go in and turn the sound back off after a few second the sound will be flipped back on again. A year ago this wouldn't happen.

This seems like a bug with iOS and not something with a solution on either app.
