Compressor: How do you keep the file name the same?

Found an old post about it, but I really hope, this has been solved without workarounds like automator:

Is there a way to create a watch folder in compressor to convert all my files without renaming them for easy relinking?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.4

Nope, it's a safety feature built-in, otherwise there would be a risk of overwriting the file it has to read from, and that would end in disaster. But, to the point, no.
