Homepod Mini disconnects at night

For some strange reason, my MacBook Air won't connect with my Homepod Mini in the evening. It is fine during the day, but then at night says it can't connect. It worked fine all the time until recently, so wondering if I have accidentally activated some setting that causes it to switch off after a certain time in the evening.

It might be the wifi if it’s heavier traffic at night.

  • start by rebooting your wifi modem
  • in the home app on the Mac select HomePod to bring up settings - scroll to bottom to Reset> Restart HomePod - it should display a white swirling light when restarting.
  • then Restart your Mac

This should get it reconnected.

Often times you can just reconnect by closing the App you were using and restarting HomePod
