This topic has been discussed here before - but I can't find work around. My iphone is on the latest iOS but safari is reporting 'Safari v6.0 on Apple Iphone (iOS 7.0)'. It means loads of websites and apps that need to dial home don't work. Does anyone know the fix for this?

This is Safari with iOS 17.4.1 on an iPhone 12 Pro Max:

To my knowledge it is not possible to alter the User Agent string on the iOS version of Safari. You can spoof the User Agent string using other browsers, but not with Safari, outside of any developer tools anyway, and you would know about that.
It would appear so. In this old Discussion a Community Specialist recommended reinstalling iOS, which seems a bit extreme, but at the moment I don't have anything better to suggest.

I am on IOS 17.4.1 - so think it must be an issue with Safari.
