New Studio Display Monitor screen issues

My new Studio Monitor 27" started showing a digital band of fragmentation onscreen across bottom of screen. It runs from left of screen across to the right edge and is about 1" thick. I have unplugged and restarted. Tried new cable. Nothing is helping. What's up?!? This is a bar of glitch/fragmentation. This glitch shows at all times and over all apps. I am a designer, so this is extremely frustrating from a brand new monitor. Any ideas of what I can do to fix this?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.4

Alright, forget Apple Care. Call Apple Support - free if your display is < 90 days old.

That said, if they can’t fix it over the phone, Apple in-store repair (or at one of their authorized service providers) would be your only option.

Looks like a hardware issue - I’d schedule in-store repair ASAP. Consider also:

returning (if inside return window) and
signing up for AppleCare (if still an option)

What would signing up for Apple Care do if it is a hardware issue? I don't have an Apple store anywhere close to me.
