Why does my Smart Stack music widget keep defaulting to Taylor Swift?

If I stop listening to music and switch to some other app, the music widget in my Smart Stack defaults to Taylor Swift instead of the last album I was listening to. I have no prob with TS but it seems an important purpose for this widget is to quickly pick up where you left off when listening to music. Am I wrong? How can I stop this from happening?

If it helps, I have an iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 17.4.1
