Can't Sync iCloud

I have a new iMac, upgrading from a very old one. Transferred all my files over to the new one.

1. System Settings keeps stating “This device isn’t syncing your end-to-end encrypted data across all of your devices. It includes saved passwords and data from Health and Maps. Verify your account information to resume syncing.”

2. I click on “Resume Data Sync” button.

3. I’m prompted for my Apple ID Password. I’m then prompted for the passcode I used to unlock an iPad. Problem is, is I no longer have that iPad.

4. So, I click link “Don’t know Passcode? I’m now shown two devices, old devices I no longer own.

5. The screen prompts another “Don’t know any passcodes?” , so I click that.

6. Get another prompt “Couldn’t Resume Data Sync. If you can’t remember passcode for any of these devices, you can approve data sync using another device. “, with two choices, “approve with device” or “Ok”

* If I click “OK”, I go back to step #4 above.

* If I click “approve with device”, I get this screen :

iMac 24″, macOS 14.4
