My phone started randomly shutting off last night the battery is between 33% to 50% when it does this. It has done it twice now. I have to plug the phone back in for at least 20 min before it will turn back on. It is not a battery issue, my battery health is 98%. I am running on ISO 16.7.7 with no other update available. Is anyone else having this issue or knows how to fix the problem?

Is this the original battery in the iPhone 8?
We ask because there is no way that a Battery Health reading of 98% could be correct if the original battery is still installed in the phone.
98% would normally indicate a battery that is 3-6 months old.
If you had a new battery installed not too long ago, and the issue continues, then it's a problem on the motherboard. Apple does not troubleshoot down to the component level, they will replace the board. That would be really expensive, so the money might be better spent towards a new phone.
