Printer Pauses all the time, can't print anything

All print jobs on Mac Studio & MacBook Pro enter a "Pause" status on all print jobs. Printing works fine from iPhone or iPad. Very frustrating! Details are as follows:

Mac OSX: Sonoma 14.1.1

Printer: HP Color Laserjet MFP M277dw (6 or 7 years old)

Connection: Ethernet

This is a Mac OSX problem because I also run a Parallels Windows 11 VM on the same machine and it prints fine from Windows 11 AND it also prints a test page from HP Utility app. I've seen others complain about this as recently as last year but I've never seen a resolution.

Tried all the following with no success:

1) Continuously hit 'resume' when paused

2) Removed printer, Reset Printing System, added HP printer again

3) Added printer and tried different OSX drivers

4)Made sure printer was updated with latest firmware & software

Side note: I've used this printer for several years with no problems. For me the problem started with one of the recent Sonoma updates.

Mac Studio (2023)

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/hp-color-laserjet-mfp-m277-series/model/7089949 Be sure to select MacOS 14.0 if it isn't selected already and download the latest drivers. You may need to restart the Mac for the change to take effect, and delete and add back the printer to the Printer settings.
