Why are the Loop and Shuffle buttons unresponsive in Apple Music on MacBook Pro 2020?

When I use the Apple Music app on my MBP 2020, I notice that the loop and shuffle buttons on the top left side of my window screen are unclickable if I have songs in queue.

This feature has proved to be extremely annoying since I can't adjust the looping, nor can I adjust the shuffle of my queue. I notice that when I don't manually add songs to the queue, the buttons are fully usable. They only get grayed out and become unclickable after I manually add songs to the queue.

I've tried signing out of Apple Music and have gotten no other results. The app works beautifully on my iPhone, yet issues like these are dominant on the Mac App.

Can anyone help me fix this??
