I’ve now had this for years. Whenever a file type for .pdf is displayed in iOS and iPadOS it gets displayed as “PDF文档”. It is the same as this: iOS adding Chinese characters to PDFs? PD… - Apple Community


I live in Europe. My device languages are German and English. I’m on the latest versions of operating systems. How can I change this behavior? Are there apps that rename file type descriptions?

You may get better and prompt responses if you may kindly provide the iPhone Model that you have and the iOS version if it is known to you and re-post.
