IPad disconnects from servers

Fairly recent iPad running latest OS. Recently upgraded to AT&T Fiber Optic wifi. Since upgrade, I get regularly booted from app game servers with a "lost connection" message. Also, X and Meta Facebook are connected, but images often don't load. Shutting down the Apps fixes the issue, but only temporarily. Rebooted router, powered down iPad but problem persists. Wifi diagnostics says everything is fine, and no similar problem with other devises on the network. Seems like a setting within the iPad that is conflicting with wifi signal. Any ideas?
