unable to upload files through google

Im unable to upload files through Google anymore, when trying to fill out a form and attach a file that is stored on my Mac or upload an assignment for school when I click "browse local files" nothing happens, before It would come up with finder allowing me to select what I want to attach but has stopped working. it works through Safari still but would prefer it to work for Chrome
