How do I get pictures from the iPhone to my Windows 7 PC?

I am running Windows 7, and I have iTunes installed. When I connect my iPhone, iTunes opens automatically, but I can't access the pictures from Windows Explorer. It used to show up in Computer, but it suddenly stopped. I don't think anything has changed since then. How do I get the pictures onto my computer?

Custom built; ASRock motherboard, Windows 7, Intel Core i7 CPU, 6 GB RAM, 64-bit OS

The only way you can get pictures FROM your iPhone to your computer is if you took the pictures with your iPhone. The only other way you can move photos from the iPhone is to mail them to yourself ( which is very time consuming). If you are trying to get photos from your computer TO your iPhone...in iTunes, click on "Photos" and make sure you check the photos you want to sync.............then sync.If you're still having problems, let me know.

iTunes is working fine; in other words, I can send pictures to the iPhone using iTunes. Yes, the pictures I want to get onto the computer were taken with the iPhone, but I can't figure out how to transfer them, because it's not showing up as a standard camera device in Windows.

The iPhone should be showing on your computer window under
portable Devices at botton of list
If you continue to click on it you will drill down to the photo files then drag and drop to relevant folder

What list? Computer in Windows Explorer (formerly My Computer)? That's where it used to appear, and that's where my other cameras show up, but the iPhone won't appear there.

Yes formally My Computer that is where mine is showing up
Can only suggest a reboot and or a restore (first from the backup and then as new as required )of the iPhone as that is the last thing to have changed or did you update to Windows to SP1

There is another way to get your Camera Roll photos to your computer: use GoodReader App which is a great PDF reader, but will import photos--any photos, Camera Roll or otherwise. GoodReader imports the photos as jpegs. Then GoodReader allows you to upload those to DropBox. From DropBox you can download to your computer.

There are other WiFi Apps which allow you to send photos to/from iPhone/computer using your home WiFi network.

Nah sorry, I thought the PC wouldn't recognize the iPhone anymore (after iOS update) but it does, I can access it in the Windows Explorer and copy/drag the photos from the camera roll to the PC.

I had this issue on my Windows Vista. I installed iTunes 10.6.1.7, restarted windows and re-connected my iPhone 4 to PC. Now I can see photos and videos from camara roll in Windows Explorer. Hope this helps somebody.

David, Sorry for not getting back to you long before this. I hope this helps: Connect your iPhone to your computer/Click on "Pictures"/On the left side of the window...at or near the bottom, you will see your iPhone/Right click on the iPhone symbol/Click on import photos.

One can only hope that he (David) got his problem resolved in the past 1 year and 6 months since his last post. If not, maybe he will see this sometime.
