How to make phone calls from ipad 2

Hi,

Im from Sri Lanka using the I Pad 2. Im wondering how can I make calls from the I Pad. I have downloaded the QuickCall (App) and Truephone (App). When I try to dial a number its not connecting and it requests more credit, which I readdy dont need since im usin g a post paid connection. My network (Etislat3 3G) is well connected and can use for all activities otherthan texting making calls.

Can anybody hellp me with this?

You can't make phone calls using the 3G phone network.

You can make VoIP call, they use the data network.

You may be paying for access to the data network, but many of the VoIP apps require you to pay to use their service.

This charge will be in addition to and seperate from whatever you are paying the telco for data.
