Yes....doesn't work very well! It takes too much time to go from page to page. It would be nice if Apple created an Forums App, but they haven't to my knowledge. I just don't play on the forums from my iPad as it takes too much time.
Hint: Seeing full Community List - The main Discussions Navigation page is implement as frames. See https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3091250
Question: I seemed like at one point, while I was trying to type in reply post, the thread would auto update with newer post in the thread. Recently, I have tried to compose, cut, cancel, refresh, review, restart reply, paste and post. From time to time my ego takes over and I just compose and post. Did something change with the boards?
I guess comments are okay, too.
The navigation response seems okay for me but you are probably doing that multi-tasking stuff. The iPad performance seems okay. What kind of "page to page" are you talking about? The iPad has made me too lazy to wake-up my laptop.
If I open the iPad forum for example (I have a shortcup on my apps page), then open a discussion, the page loads, then if I want to reply, another page loads for me to write a response. To me, it takes too much time to go from one page to another.......
Hint: Use a Bluetooth keyboard. This is probably not as much an issue if you can type and proofreader.
In spite of the typos, I still think this an okay idea.
Mine opens a window for the response. I have to wait for the screen to refresh but it does not generate a new page for me. You are using Safari, right? I have not gotten input to work in the other browsers I have. I have been using Mail as a shortcut to the topics when folks reply.

(that was surprisingly difficult)
Yes and it didn't seem, after reading the thread, anyone found an easier, less time consuming way to participate through an iOS device........
Question: External editor use.
Is anyone using an external WordPad-type app to pretty compose post? It seems like it would be possible to format a reply, maybe display as HTML, and paste it into a web browser text entry window? I ended up doing something similar with my previous post since Safari seems to no longer want to hold my editor session as I try to collect information to add.
I guess I am being patient to a fault. Thanks for participating in my experiment. It seems like the device is so close. It is worth it me to put some effort into my suggestion. Again, thanks.
