Found this fix here which worked for me with a similar problem.

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.

Copy the SQLite3.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.

Reboot and see if all is well.

I also get something similar now when iTunes does an update, ever since version 10. Mine is with libxml2.dll and not SQLite3.dll, but the fix is just the same. Seems it only takes a few seconds to correct, I don't worry about it anymore, but I share your concern about Apple not addressing it themselves.

I too have a WIndows 7, but a 32 bit OS. From what I've seen of those reporting similar problems, it can affect Vista too. What makes some vulnerable and not others I have no idea.

Hi Allan

I used your fix to copy the dll and it worked, (even for a techno idiot like me) so many thanks! I don't get that error message any more, but my PC (also an Acer Aspire, running Vista) still keeps freezing and the only way to proceed is the classic turn it off and turn it on again! Sorry to use you as tech support, but are the two things related? I mean, does the previous absence of that "procedure entry point xml" whatsit lead to a PC crashing all the time? I've tried rebooting and defragging and doing a disk cleanup...

Cheers

Hi Peter

Glad the fix worked for iTunes.

I would doubt very much if there is any connection between that and your PC crashing.

There are a variety of reasons for that to happen, and without knowing more it's impossible to be specific. You can start here as a guide.

If there's a specific time you see it happen more than others then I suggest you google search identifying the problem and situation and see what answers you can find. Google searching the problem is anyway usually the best way to find solutions, short of taking it in to be serviced.

Good luck with it mate
