how to remove cydia
Hi, I need to transfer the apps from the Ipad 1 to the ipad 2, but I don't want the Cydia anymore. I'm looking to transfer the apps (without cydia) to the new ipad, then do a restore on the old one.
Can this be done?

We really can't help you. By virtue, Cydia indicates your iPad is jailbroken and discussion of jailbroken devices is against forum rules. You should go out to the Cydia forum and ask your question.
So cydia is the "jailbroken app store". Now I am wondering if you are transfering traditional app store apps, or cydia apps. If you are transfering traditional apps make sure that your itunes library has all of those apps in the library and back up your ipad to itunes. Once it is backed up plug in the new ipad and "restore" from the back up of your old ipad. If you restore all of your app data and settings will be loaded into the new ipad. If just want the apps you can sync your ipad to itunes and pick the apps you want.
You do realize you are in violation of forum rules by discussing jailbreaking..........
Thanks.
Ok, so what if I said I just want to "transfer all of my itunes apps only" to the ipad 2, and didn't mention the Cydia? Would that be a better way to ask the question?
Maybe he is but let the moderators determine that, especially in grey areas such as this where someone is trying to remove a JB.
Your iTunes apps should be in iTunes on your computer. You can restore your iPad to get rid of Cydia and then sync the apps you want.

Connect iPad 1 to your computer and choose Transfer purchases... from the File menu in iTunes, then connect iPad 2 and sync the apps from iTunes.
Thanks to everyone for all your answers! Helped!
