When I try to download/update stuff from the App Store onto my iPhone 3GS, I get:
Error 1004 - please try again later
What gives? Anybody knows?
Am on AT&T.

go to settings, click on safari. clear cookies, cahce, history, and power cycle the device.
issue will be resolved.

The answer was in another thread. You have to reset your settings and you're good. If it happens again, I'll try your suggestion.
Thanks, Evan - I tried the solution in the other post (sign out of Apple Store and sign back in) and it did not work for me. I then tried your solution and it worked like a charm. Thanks so much for posting - the error message was driving me crazy.
Evan, that worked for me too. had the issue on an ipad 2.
