Maps Directions not working after upgrading to iOS 5

So I upgraded to iOS5 and now two things happened:

It now uses the Chinese version of Google, instead of the international English that I had before. So now I can only see the Chinese street names in Shanghai, instead of both Chinese and English names before.
The directions do NOT work now!! I tried emailing directions from the site maps.google.com, and they do show up on iPhone Maps. I can even calculate different type of directions (car, walking, public transit) on iPhone of the emailed directions. It just doesn't work with directions created on the iPhone itself.

I hope somebody can help me with these two problems.

Same problem here, my maps are suddenly in Chinese and I am unable to calculate any driving, transport or walking directions from within the maps app.

It appears to be working fine for me as for language but the problem I have is the CLEAR route button is gone and every time I check direction my route is always there...

I have th SAME!!! Please help!!!

Chinese characters is no problem for me, but I need to use the route opcion!!!

Sim - China Unicom. My friend use Sim by China Mobile, direction is OK.

Route is working very hard when:

you need to do route between the currency position and some point from your bookmarks!

BACK TO ENGLISH AND CHINESE LIKE BEFORE!!!

YES APPLE OR/AND GOOGLE FIXED IT.

now works with and without the VPN.

I'm not having the chinese problem, but I am having the maps problem. I can view a location, but whenever I try to do directions (to or from anywhere), it just says "Loading..." and never actually loads. I let it try for about 20 minutes the other day and it never loaded!
