Why can't iMovie import my 50p video files??

I have a sony HDR-CX160E, and when i import my 50i files it works well, nd when try to import 50p, it just doesnt work?? any help here?? And if you yourself have a way to solve the problem, can you pkease share it with me?? Thanks!!!😁

50p from a cam is not supported.


convert the files 'manually' to a 50p Appleintermediate.mov - THOSE files are supported by iM.

diff. options …


• the free and long way:

use the Rewrap2M4V script as advised on my web site, re-name suffix to .mov, will work with shorter projects, or convert the m4v with MpegStreamclip into aic.mov


• the expensive but convenient way

use ClipWrap as advsed on my web site (converts in a single rush into iM's 'native' aic.mov codec, best practice)
