Since 'upgrading' to ios 5 on my iphone 4, I can no longer zoom on my camera. I used to be able to tap the screen and get a slider at the bottom which enabled me to zoom but that no longer works. Is there a way to get the zoom slider? I've looked on settings and nothing there that I can see.

It's not a slider anymore. Use 2 fingers and spread them apart.
However, it is still digital zoom, which is a hoax. It doesn't zoom at all, it just crops before the photo is taken. You are better off taking all of your pictures at full size, then cropping afterwards with a good photo editor. It gives you much better control.

Thanks for the info. Does the photo editor that comes with iphoto on the imac constitute a 'good' photo editor or do I need to buy a good photo editor?
It's pretty good for a basic editor. But you will have more control with something like Adobe Photoshop Elements or Picasa from Google. Picasa has the advantage of being free. I assume you don't have a Mac, or you would have thought of iPhoto, which comes built in.
Actually I DO have a mac which is why I asked if the photo editor included in iphoto constitutes a good one in your opinion. Thanks for your info, its very helpful.
Sorry, I didn't read carefully enough. I thought you meant the editor on the phone itself. Yes, iPhoto is an excellent editor.
