Difficulty registering an iPhone 4 as a remote device with new Sony SMP-N200 Media Player.

I'm unable to register my iPhone 4 as a remote control device for my new Sony SMP-N200 Media Player. I have downloaded the iPhone Sony Media App. from itunes. Both products are active on my home network using BT's latest router with the Sony Media player connected on ethernet via powerplug system. Every time I pick 'settings' on my iPhone through the Media app. to register,I only find 'Demo Player' under 'Choose a Device with no option to choose Sony's Media Player and follow through to successful registration . Anybody know where I'm going wrong? Thanks Dave
