How to 'clone' my iPad's screen over a projector, like the teacher does in the iPad TV ad?
I want to use saved websites and newsstand publications to enrich my classes with additional photos and information.
Basically I need to know the name of an app that displays whatever is on my Ipad screen onto a projector.

You can connect your iPad directly to your projector using the iPad VGA or HDMI adapter.
What inputs are available on your projector?
Are you wanting to connect wirelessly to your projector? If so, you can use AppleTV connected to your projecto and Airplay.
I use keynote to show PPTs in class extensively, but I was looking to 'mirror' my screen from an Ipad1 by connecting it to the projector.
This would allow me to (for example) load up National Geographic magazine and use the articles and pictures therein as class resources.
Is there an app that does this?
ATV2 + iPad2 = airplay mirroring, this will clone everything you see on the ipad to your projector connected to the ATV2.
Sorry, but mirroring of the screen is not supported in the iPad 1. You can only output from apps which support video out. Whether there's an app that can output magazines or an alternative web browser that supports video out for the pages themselves and not just embedded video content I don't know, though I haven't seen any.
