My ipod will not charge on docking station or when plugged in to power point with an adaptor or when connected to the computer. The screen shows a battery with red bit at end and underneath picture of battery is a zig zag symbol

- Have you tried another cable?
- Does iTunes see the iPod when connect to your computer?
Try a reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Does the iPod work OK?
Yes tried another cable but doesn't do anything. No itunes doesn't see ipod when connected to computer. Tried to reset ipod by holding down on/off button and home button but nothing happens.
- If you look at the dock connector on the iPod do you see any abnormalities like broken/missing/bent contacts or other probems.
- It may be time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.
Don't see any abnormalities with contacts on ipod. Guess I'll have to contact Applie store.
