iPhone 4 is missing the Voice Memo icon on the home screen - however can be found when doing a search - how do I get the icon to the home screen?

first check settings - general - restrictions, if you can't find it there then go to

settings - general - reset -reset keyboard layout . WARNING doing this will move all your apps out of the folder and you will have to redo it.

It's a pre-installed app and therefore cannot be deleted so you may have inadvertently moved it onto a screen or into a folder. Check all screens and folders and do a search in Spotlight, it will tell you if the app it still on your iPhone but unfortunately not where it is. If you find it on one or your screens or in a folder, press the icon until it wiggles and then drag it back to where you want it. Alternatively you can reset your home screen in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

Hi Larry. I had the same question, and while I was reading yours, I found the app. It was pre-installed inside a folder called "Utilities" along with "Calculator" and "Contacts." Hope that helps you. - BT

I have the same problem with my iPhone 3Gs. I tried resetting the keyboard layout but with no result. When I check the Synchronise Apps window in iTunes, there's no trail of the app either. I didn't use it that often but I sure would like to have it back.
