How do i retrieve my maps app

You can't delete it, look on all screens and inside all folders. If you can't find it go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This will restore it to it's original location (along with other iOS apps).

Thank you. I cant find it in any folders, so if i reset will i lose all my apps i've bought?
No, resetting the home screen layout simply restores your home screen to it's original layout and icons (including maps). If you ever did lose any of your apps you can always redownload them for free (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519).
