iphone wont charge after ios5.1 update

Ever since updating over the air my iphone 4 will no charge using any o the chargers in my house?

What now apple?

What am I to do with a glass brick?

AppleTV 2, iOS 5.0.1

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore. Has any of this been tried?

Has the dock connector been check for dirt/debris?

A visit to Apples Birmingham store today, A 60 mile round trip that I didn't need!

I must be one a very few people to leave the Apple store unhappy. As my phone is out of warranty, they wanted £119 for a new handset😟.

Sorry Apple I thought it was all about customer service?

Seeing as this is the second time that this has happened to me, and the carphone warehouse sent me a refurb last time it happened. I would have thought the warranty would be on the date of replacement handset not the original?

Carphone warehouse to repair want £169 😮.

Got it fixed for £49.99 at Microsim phone repairs 🙂.

Needed a new dock connector.

Still not happy that this has happend twice to me now though.

Are there any iphone covers that cover the dock connector to stop this from happening again?
