Disable cover flow

After installing iOS 5.0.1 I cannot use coverflow.

iPod hangs and works only after connection to PC.

I think it's out of memory.

How can I disable coverflow?

iPod touch, iOS 5.0.1

You can't disable Cover Flow. But.

I had a similiar issue. And I simply locked screen rotation in Portrait mode (for preventing Cover Flow) doing following:

  • double-click Home button for viewing running apps
  • go to the leftmost part of the list (where player's controls are displayed)
  • there is a Lock/Unlock Portrait Orientation button here, at left.

BTW, I solved an issue with OutOfMemory exceptions in Cover Fow mode reducing a few artworks (some of them were quite big, e.g. 2500x2500, which is not actually necessary for iPod, 700x700 is enough for me)

Disable cover flow
