I have an Ipod Touch version 4.2.1. Can I install the IOS 5.01 and then install the Icloud. I want to get the find me app to work and I believe that I need the icloud. Let me know if that is correct.

u ca install ios5.0.1 and btw find my ipod is a feature in ios 5.0.1...its not a app and ofcourse u need icloud to use this feature...during initial setting up of an ipod,u can make all these feature settings
iCloud is only available on iOS 5. If you have a 3rd gen or a 4th gen iPod touch, upgrade to iOS 5 via iTunes, and iCloud will be automaticaly installed.
If you have an older version of iPod (1st gen or 2nd gen), you can't have iCloud on your device.
I suspect you have a 2G iPod since those can only go to ios 4.2.1. To determine your model see:

Well, then the answer is easy: Connect your device to a computer that is running the latest version of iTunes.
When the device is detected by iTunes click on the iPod name. This brings up a Summary page.
Click on "Check for Update"
That will be $95.00 please... (Old MS support joke....)

Sorry, but you missed the point. On the ipad and other ipods we have for 3rd and 4th generation, we were able to get the icloud up and ios5.0 update.
